On May 28, 1977, Kentucky witnessed its worst tragedy since the Civil War. The Beverly Hills Supper Club in Southgate, Kentucky was packed over the holiday weekend. Before Midnight, more than 120 bodies had been pulled from the burning structure, and dozens more would be found the next day in what was the third-worst nightclub fire in our nation’s history.
Due to former employee David Brock’s unwavering quest, new researchers spent several years re-investigating to uncover the true story – where 169 people were killed as a result of greed, corruption, Mafia rule, government cover-up, kidnapping, and murder.
Here’s what people are saying:
"As a 34-year veteran of the fire protection field, I have long been fascinated with this fire. It wasn’t until recently, however, that I looked more closely at the initial investigation. I was shocked at what I saw and, more importantly, at what I didn’t see. After reading this book, I’m sure you will agree that this nationally-important fire deserves a full inquiry.” – Glenn Corbett, John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
“I am still amazed at how one night can so drastically change a person’s life. I was the only survivor in a group of seven family members who were there that night. I thank Mr. Webster for choosing to close his book with a chapter devoted to the victims and their individual stories.” – Dana Tyra Stallings.
